This citrus bar gives me all the summer feels and feels like sunshine! With added poppy seeds for a gentle exfoliation.
Ingredients:
olea europea (olive oil), butyrospermu parkii (shea butter), cocos nucifera (coconut oil), cold pressed ricinus communis (castor oil), citrus sinesis (sweet orange essential oil), citrus medica limomun (lemon essential oil), citrus ayrantifolio (lime essential oil), turmeric powder & kaolin clay topped with a dried lemon wheel
Caution:
While known for their bright, summery scents, citrus oils are among the most common essential oils that cause photosensitivity. That’s because compounds found in citrus oils—known as furanocoumarins—greatly increase UV sensitivity. Make sure to perform a patch test on the inside of your wrist 24 hours before full sun exposure. This may not affect everyone but more so those with sensitive skin or sun sensitivity.
Soap Care:
Always store your soap on a dish with drainage unless you want soggy soap. Handmade soaps are more delicate than store-bought soaps. Let air dry completely in between uses. Don't let stand in direct water. Be sure to wipe the tub after using this soap as handmade soaps are made with oils that will build up over time and may cause a slipping hazard.
